In chapter 15, Paul addressed the most important aspect of the Christian faith, 00:11:50.120 --> 00:11:57.000 the fact that Jesus was raised from the dead. All other major religions have a founder who is dead, 00:11:57.520 --> 00:11:59.460 But the tomb of Jesus is empty. 00:12:00.050 --> 00:12:01.280 The unthinkable happened. 00:12:01.800 --> 00:12:04.800 Jesus' tomb only held its occupant for three days. 00:12:05.740 --> 00:12:06.960 Why is this so important? 00:12:07.440 --> 00:12:13.240 Because with his resurrection, Jesus proved that he has the power over sin and death. 00:12:13.820 --> 00:12:17.280 What's more difficult, to come back from the dead or to forgive sins? 00:13:10.600 --> 00:13:12.940 Lazarus, Jairus' daughter, and others. 00:13:13.700 --> 00:13:15.400 And there was even some in the Old Testament, 00:13:15.680 --> 00:13:18.400 the widow of Zarephath's son in 1 Kings 17, 00:13:19.140 --> 00:13:21.560 the Shunammite woman's son in 2 Kings 4, 00:13:22.320 --> 00:13:25.460 the man raised out of Elisha's grave in 2 Kings 13. 00:13:26.160 --> 00:13:30.500 How could Paul say that Jesus was the first one of all those who will be raised?
